  • Issue#194412: Acer - TravelMate P645 - MG with AMD Radeon HD 8750M cant wake after sleep on Windows 10

The sleep problem in Windows 10 isn't new, but nobody from Acer is doing something to figure it out for this model. There are fixes for this card for HP, Dell and other brand in the forums, but for this most expensive Acer model doesn't have any solution. Please Acer, respond how to fix this sleep issue, I tried fresh Windows install with right drivers from the acer support website, also with latest drivers from AMD for the video card (there are a lot more problems with these drivers). Also tried with different drivers for Intel Management Engine Interface. I waited over a year for solution with hope, but there is no hope already the new model is out and nobody cares about previous. The problem is there, when you put your laptop to sleep, after that cant be waked up, you should stop it with power button hold. If anyone from the community knows solution I will be grateful! Thanks in advance!

  • Issue#20882: Geforce - Major Windows+Nvidia issue, caused after updating both Nvidia and Windows

Anyone and I mean anyone who has some insight, would be greatly appreciated. I'm okay with getting a flash drive and reinstalling Windows, I have that type of time right now. The majority of my programs lock up, except Chrome.

  • Issue#21038: Lenovo - Persistent System Freeze Issue on Newly Upgraded SSD on Windows 10 Y510P

I purchased the MYDIGITALSSD M.2 256GB SSD to replace the 24GB M.2 that originally came with my Y510P. I completed the upgrade and re-installed Windows 10 (on the ssd) and use the 1TB drive purely as storage, and re-downloaded all of the necessary drivers for the laptop. Ever since then, i experience 3-4 system freezes daily. I am not able to get to task manager, just get a complete system hang and i have no choice but to restart the pc. It typically starts with one application, then after a few seconds, everything will freeze and become unusable. Does anyone have any advice on this? i read about someone having a similar issue a really long time ago but i cant remember where and can't find any info on this specific problem. It's driving me crazy though and i'd appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips offered. thanks everyone. -Daniel

  • Issue#27776: HP - Windows 10 Battery Issue?

Got this Hp Notebook in December, wiped the drive and installed a fresh Windows 10 64 bit OS. Noticed the battery will jump from 100% to 93% everytime after a full charge and after using it for like 10 minutes. Thought it could be the battery deteriorating so I swapped out my battery with the exact same one from my sister's (with full charge) and it does the exact same thing. I've calibrated my battery before and updated everything. Is this a Windows 10 issue?

  • Issue#39222: Windows 7 Update Issue

I put a brand new 1TB Hybrid SSD in a Dell Inspiron E5510 (I think thats the model). I then reloaded Windows 7 pro back on it. It worked fine, rebooted perfectly several times. So I ran the updates (All 208) of them and when it was finished, it was in startup repair and fails to start. I tried again by freshly reloading and same thing after updates, starts the Windows logo then goes into startup repair. I tested the hard drive and its good. Any ideas?

  • Issue#51130: Driver Issue in Windows 10

My company uses a large number of thermal printers for printing event tickets. We install these printers using the Generic Text Only driver in Windows 7. One of our clients has upgraded to Windows 10 and the printer is no longer functioning. Every time a print job is sent, the printer goes into an error state. We narrowed it down to the new Generic Text Only version 10 driver. We uninstalled the parallel port and re-installed it with the version 6 driver. That worked for a while. Then the client rebooted and Windows 10 changed the driver on its own. Any ideas on how to get this working again and to get it to stick?  Thanks in advance.

After updating to Windows 10 from Windows 7, I have had issues such as Excel shutting down or freezing, email slow to attach documents, slow start up.  I was told that the processor in this computer, AMD A6-3420 m APU with Radeon HD Graphics 1.50 Ghz,  is not compatible with Windows 10 and I should downgrade to Windows 7.  I loved Windows 7 and only upgraded as a precaution.  Would downgrading solve this problem?  Do you have advice?

  • Issue#51676: Scaling on Windows 10 with Legacy Radeon HD 4600 Series

I have a legacy video card with AMD HD4600 series Radeon Graphics.  In Windows 7 the only way to size the image on a second monitor is via the “scale” feature on Catalyst Control Center.”  This scaling is not available on Windows 7 unless CCC is installed. If I upgrade to Windows 10, the CCC will be deleting and driver version 8.970.100.9001 will be installed.  Will this driver on Window 10 permit scaling? For Reference, I attached an image showing where the scaling is accessed via CCC on Windows 7.Thanks in advance for any guidance.

  • Issue#52203: HP - Windows 10 Shutdown Issue

Hello, I recently upgraded my HP Mini 1030NR to Windows 10 from Windows 7 using the free update. It runs decently but runs better than it did with XP and 7. I have 2GB on that laptop and I plan to only use it as a basic web surfing laptop for home. When I shutdown the HP Mini, It shuts down but the led lights (power and wireless) stay on for a minute and then shuts down. When I turn it back on, It thinks it just went to sleep because no bios texts show on the screen when i start it up. I tell it to shut down but due to the no bios texts, It actually thinks it went hibernated or slept. How can I fix this?? I turned it on today and the battery juice has went down after the last time I used it was last Monday and I had it charged before i used it that day. What's causing the shutdown to think it's actually hibernated or went to sleep??
