Issue#339: nMP crashing playing Starcraft in Windows

  • I've got a 6,1 (12 core D300) at work that I tote home on the weekends for entertainment purposes. I have Windows 8,1 installed on an external thunderbolt drive with a few games. Seems that when the Starcraft action gets hot and heavy it will shut down. When it does, it feels quite a bit warmer than whenever I'm doing work on the Mac side. My daily work doesn't really stress the GPU - it is mostly CPU-based 3D rendering.

So I'm wondering if the drivers aren't set up to cool the thing as...

  • Issue#198462: Geforce - Strange issue with Gtx980Ti on Windows 10.. Games occasionally crashing to Desktop

Hi all. I'm having this really strange issue with my 980Ti lately. Basically, when i start up my computer and randomly launch any game, it crashes to desktop after a couple of minutes. This happens with all games i tried including Witcher 3, MGSV, NFS Mostwanted (2012), Grid 2, Mad Max, MKX, Deadpool, Black Ops 3... etc etc. But I found out that IF i go to the device manager and disable and re-enable the graphics card upon startup before launching any game this problem disappears. However, instead of C2Ds, the game just minimizes to the desktop. Did any one of you stumble upon this issue with your graphics card? If so, how may I go about solving it? Here’s some more info: System Config: Processor: Intel i5 6600k processor (4.4Ghz) Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170X gaming 7 RAM: 32GB G-Skill Trident-Z @3200Mhz stock timing. • Issue#1822: Skype - Skype 7.17.0.105 keeps crashing when shutting down Windows 10

Every time I try to shut down windows 10 an error message appears telling something about wrong memory addresses etc. The forum is full of such complains, so it must be a relatively common issue, however I don't have an asus sound card, but a creative sound blaster z. Skype also works fine in the older version (6.21, which is driving me mad trying to update). DirectX diag didn't uncover any problems as well. Also tried to uncheck I sign out sound - no difference. Please help!

  • Issue#12674: HP - Display randomly crashing after upgrading to Windows 10

Hey all, I used to own a Pavilion dv6-4024tx notebook which I gave to my dad to use after buying a new laptop for myself. It was in fairly good working condition when I gave it to him, with the only issue being that it would get very hot unless a cooling pad was used (which I provided him with). At the time, it was running Windows 7 Home Premium with no issues and everything was fine. However it might be worth noting that while  I had it I had issues with random Blue Screens while I was using the latest graphics drivers, so I rolled back to the drivers provided on the support page for this laptop. After I "upgraded" it to Windows 10 (not performing a clean install) for my dad, the laptop would randomly crash and display something like in the photo that I've attached, before going blank and showing it again repeatedly. Believing it to be an issue with the GPU, I went and used Display Driver Uninstaller to completely remove all AMD drivers and software, downloaded the latest dr

  • Issue#20882: Geforce - Major Windows+Nvidia issue, caused after updating both Nvidia and Windows

Anyone and I mean anyone who has some insight, would be greatly appreciated. I'm okay with getting a flash drive and reinstalling Windows, I have that type of time right now. The majority of my programs lock up, except Chrome.

  • Issue#21038: Lenovo - Persistent System Freeze Issue on Newly Upgraded SSD on Windows 10 Y510P

I purchased the MYDIGITALSSD M.2 256GB SSD to replace the 24GB M.2 that originally came with my Y510P. I completed the upgrade and re-installed Windows 10 (on the ssd) and use the 1TB drive purely as storage, and re-downloaded all of the necessary drivers for the laptop. Ever since then, i experience 3-4 system freezes daily. I am not able to get to task manager, just get a complete system hang and i have no choice but to restart the pc. It typically starts with one application, then after a few seconds, everything will freeze and become unusable. Does anyone have any advice on this? i read about someone having a similar issue a really long time ago but i cant remember where and can't find any info on this specific problem. It's driving me crazy though and i'd appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips offered. thanks everyone. -Daniel

  • Issue#27776: HP - Windows 10 Battery Issue?

Got this Hp Notebook in December, wiped the drive and installed a fresh Windows 10 64 bit OS. Noticed the battery will jump from 100% to 93% everytime after a full charge and after using it for like 10 minutes. Thought it could be the battery deteriorating so I swapped out my battery with the exact same one from my sister's (with full charge) and it does the exact same thing. I've calibrated my battery before and updated everything. Is this a Windows 10 issue?

  • Issue#35435: Intel - NUC6i5KYH Windows 7/10 x64 Freezes when Playing Videos

Hello, I purchased the NUC6i5SYH and installed G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Memory Model F4-2133C15D-16GRS, with HyperX SSD (known working flawlessly on previous system). The BIOS is 033 with all default settings. Initially I installed a fresh version of Windows 10 x64 and all of the drivers found online. The PC began freezing as soon as I opened Firefox, Kodi and even as soon as I logged in. When the freeze occurred, the whole screen was either baby-blue or white color. The mouse and keyboard were not responsive. The only way to recover was to power cycle. I looked into the Event Log but did not see a log of any issues, except the unexpected shutdown. Next, I reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows 10 x64 again, this time I only installed the LAN drivers, the PC appeared to be fine opening Firefox and Kodi. I had the system up for over a day. Next, I installed the graphics driver, that's where the freezing began happening again.&nbs

  • Issue#39222: Windows 7 Update Issue

I put a brand new 1TB Hybrid SSD in a Dell Inspiron E5510 (I think thats the model). I then reloaded Windows 7 pro back on it. It worked fine, rebooted perfectly several times. So I ran the updates (All 208) of them and when it was finished, it was in startup repair and fails to start. I tried again by freshly reloading and same thing after updates, starts the Windows logo then goes into startup repair. I tested the hard drive and its good. Any ideas?

  • Issue#51130: Driver Issue in Windows 10

My company uses a large number of thermal printers for printing event tickets. We install these printers using the Generic Text Only driver in Windows 7. One of our clients has upgraded to Windows 10 and the printer is no longer functioning. Every time a print job is sent, the printer goes into an error state. We narrowed it down to the new Generic Text Only version 10 driver. We uninstalled the parallel port and re-installed it with the version 6 driver. That worked for a while. Then the client rebooted and Windows 10 changed the driver on its own. Any ideas on how to get this working again and to get it to stick?  Thanks in advance.
